Lego TV Advert

What are the building blocks of success?
-As a product, Lego is for kids, so the Lego marketing team's main challenge is to make       their products appealing to children; however, it is the parents, aunties, uncles,   grandparents and godparents who hold the purse strings. This is where the joy – and the genius – comes in: The Lego Movie is a ripping adventure for kids, but is also great fun for adults.

What have lego done right?
-They have produced a movie that takes a lot of characters and themes from other movies or games and they have put it in their movie to make it appeal to a larger audience and they have set the characters as certain roles too make the movie more entertaining.

How has it laid foundation for future success?
-After making this movie they cam brach out from it and make different movies such as The Lego movie 2 also they can create movies on the characters such as batman which they have done.

How has it got heart?
If it’s a film, it needs to make people feel. And to this end, with an emotive storyline that explores the meaning of love, partnership and humanity, The Lego Movie does what it needs to do.

How is it all about 'you'?
The Lego Movie forces us to ask questions not only of the characters and the storyline, but of ourselves. The result is a resonance that drills the brand into a deep level of our psyche that’s rarely visited by commercial content.

How does it show that it knows the audience?
-The Lego Movie has a very clear idea of who it’s speaking to – or, in harsher terms, its target market – as it bids to increase its standing among kids (the players), parents (the buyers) and other adults (the nostalgists).

258 word essay

The marketing of The Lego movie exploits British TV by taking all the normal adverts and turning them into Lego and by doing this it makes a lot of people want to watch the movie because they enjoyed the adverts and they would think that the movie would be better, also when children watch the TV and see these Lego adverts they will ask their parents if they can go to the cinema and watch the movie. The Lego movie uses print such as large billboards in popular places such as Los Angeles because they know that a lot of people will drive past and look at it which and think about their children and urge them to go to the cinema and watch the movie. Also they will make magazines that will have mini figures in and they will sell them in stores such as Morrisons, and when kids go grocery shopping with their parents they will see the magazines and want to buy them for the toy and want to watch the movie. The Lego movie has also used the voice actors in the movie to promote it on their social media such as Chris Pratt on his Instagram, and from this, teens will see this and think about the other movies he has appeared in and then want to watch the movie. If parents are on Facebook and they see the advert from one of the movie stars they will think about their children and want to go to watch the movie with their children.
